Astonishing! Food was spectacular and watching the chef prepare it with care and love made it even more special. Eduardo has been a sushi man since he was 14 years old and today he beautifully works only with fresh local fish from the Paraty region creating one of the best sushis I have ever tasted! Beatriz was also incredibly nice and welcoming! Overall the experience is a must

We had dinner at FUGU last night and it was, without a doubt, one of the best gastronomic experiences I’ve ever had. I am a true lover of Japanese cuisine, and I can confidently say that the work they do here is EXCEPTIONAL. Each dish stands out for the freshness of the ingredients, impeccable execution, and a perfect balance between tradition and creativity. Everything is thoughtfully crafted, without excess, with an elegance that can be felt in every bite. The service provided by Eduardo, the chef, deserves special mention. His warmth, professionalism, and passion elevate the experience to an entirely different level. It’s clear when someone truly loves what they do, and that passion is reflected both in the kitchen and in the service. FUGU is not just a Japanese restaurant; it is a complete gastronomic experience. A place we will definitely return to. Highly recommended.

Absolute culinary experience! The service was impeccable, the Teishoku box was out of this world, giving you a full experience of everything on the menu. Throw in a Japanese beer, and some saki and you might as well be in Japan. Oh, make sure you get Beatrice as a waitress, such great energy. 11/10 . Just edited the review, cause we just received the wasabi ice cream with cane sugar molasses, there aren’t any words for how unique and delicious it was! Just WOW

This is the best sushi I’ve had in my life. The concept is so nice and all the fish they use is fresh. My boyfriend went to Japan last year and said this tasted just the same. The staff is extremely nice and seeing the food made in front of you truly adds to the experience. Also it’s quite affordable in comparison what you pay for such a concept and quality in other places. Highly highly recommend!

Some of the better Sushi I've tasted, the fish was super refreshing, locally caught. Chef and his staff were all very hospitable. Would definitely recommend popping in for a bite, one of the best meals in paraty , without a question.

Exceptional sushi in Brazil! Not what we expected to be eating in Paraty, but this was Tokyo-quality sushi - super fresh, handmade in front of our eyes and super-friendly staff. All delicious, but try the corn sushi for a unique twist! Cannot recommend highly enough.

A wonderful dinner. Creative dishes for vegetarians (I only wish there was a vegetarian sushi roll to complement the fantastic mushroom dish and corn sushi) and fish eaters alike. It was a bit cold from the AC but that didn’t detract from the amazing food. Best dinner we have had in Brazil.

Great local sushi and some stellar dishes. Fun to try Japanese twist on local dishes. Was disappointed they had very limited availability of their wine list though, including no red wine. If you plan to drink wine perhaps ask about BYO as they seemed to not have options.
